Inside the iconic Champney Treasure House, the museum's temperature controlled stores are home to local history.

Exhibition spaces

AtChampney Treasure House Museum there are gallery spaces to explore upstairs and downstairs in the halls, with temporary exhibitions and showcasing highlights of our collections. The Treasure House Exhibition Space hosts a rolling programme of social history and community partnership exhibitions. The Treasure House Museum gives an introduction to the history and culture of the East Riding with highlights including the spectacular South Cave Weapons Cache which was discovered in 2002.

Visiting with children

If you’re visiting with children there's plenty to do alongside exhibitions to make your visit fun and interesting. In the museum, dress up in historical costumes, make your own Iron Age round house, try the interactive exhibits and more.  

Under 5s can play with beach themed activities accompanying the museum display or borrow Explorer Resources to make fascinating discoveries around the exhibition spaces. Spot '5 Things' to do and collect a sticker.

Public transport

It is a five minute walk to the train station and bus station in Beverley.

Parking

Pay and Display parking behindChampney Treasure House on Saturdays only. Nearest pay and display car park is Grayburn Lane. Limited on street parking is available within easy walking distance. Disabled parking bays directly outside the entrance.

Visitors arriving by coach or minibus can be dropped off at the coach drop-off point on Lord Roberts Road, next to the Magistrates Court. It is approximately a 1 minute walk around the corner onto Champney Road

Street level flat entrance, automatic doors, disabled parking bays, wheelchair accessible toilets, Changing Places. Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.
